Still Alive

Hey there folks, I'm still here and kicking. I've been a little busy with school and such, so I haven't been very faithful to my blog as I should have. I made it through my first semester a Fresno State, and am going to start back in a couple of weeks. I'm finally getting to sleep in on days that aren't Saturday, well until it starts all over again. I feel like I should be posting something more so here's a picture that I took last year from a train museum called Railtown 1897.

Evil Genius

She's a master of disguise
No one knows who she is inside
I think you'll be surprised
Because she's an evil genius

She can shrink Manhattan to fit in her pocket
And escape the law on her homemade rocket
That she can control from her locket
She's an evil genius

She'll have super heroes crying
Some might even be dying
Good luck to the ones that are flying
She's an evil genius

Guts, Glory, and Guitars

Another semester has come to an end and I'm one step closer to my goal of a bachelors degree. Next semester I get to transfer into Fresno State (Go Dogs). This semester ended on a really high note (pun intended) because I took a guitar class to add units to my schedule. At the end of the year they had Ram's Jam's II. Rams being the Fresno City College Mascot. Jams meaning a music. and II meaning this is the second one that they have done. It was basically, all of the guitar classes getting together and playing for and audience to raise money for the music program at City College. This is everything from the beginning classes (which I was in) to the advanced classes (that blew my mind). I played with 40 other guitarists in a song by Juan Serrano called Sevillanas. I also played the rhythm guitar part for a song with all of the participants and the special guest guitarist, Shea Welsh. There was about 100 guitars and the sound was so awesome it was almost unbelievable. The song we played called Sancho T. Panza was also written by Shea Welsh. A little known fact, it was named after his ex-girlfriend's dog who would get very excited and tinkle on the carpet. Sancho Tinkles Panza. True Story. Here's a picture of me before the show with my guitar for all of you who were curious about the guitar and how awesome it is. Well, that's all for now.

Cold Turkey?

Today I overheard someone talking about quitting something cold turkey? I thought to my self why would you stop cold turkey. Cold turkey is delicious. Especially a nice turkey sandwich.

Also I want to congratulate my friends, Jordan and Tiffany on getting engaged. You guys are awesome and I'm super happy for you.

I Got Tagged by Jen Connell in the Random book game

Here are the Rules that I grabbed off of her blog:

1. Pick up the closest book next to you.

2. Open it to page 50.
3. Go down to the second paragraph
4. Type in the first 4 lines.
5. Tag 5 people.

here's the book that was closest to me at the the time:
The American Nation: A History of the United States. Vol 1 to 1877

My History book, but you probably could have guessed that.

Page 50 is a list of supplementary reading. The second paragraph goes like this:
Accounts of the English background of colonization can be found in Nicholas Cannny, ed., The Oxford History of the British Empire: The Origins of Empire (1998). On French colonization see, William J Eccles, The French in North America.

yes so very exciting....

Here come the tags:

New Post!

Hey everyone, it's been awhile since my last post. As of last month, I have been accepted into California State University, Fresno. So yeah, I'm excited about that.
In other news, On Course youth conference was last week. I didn't get to go until the Friday night service, but that night was still great. The service was awesome and afterward so was the fellowship. I got to meet some new people and talk to some that I already knew. So here's my new post.
